This was a different approach compared to your earlier work. But it was still very unique and hilarious! My favorite scene would have to be when Jules has a rapping contest with Master Onion. That was great! I also liked the voice acting. In addition, the original sprites were very nicely done and it was cool to see Robo return! Anyway, good job on this and good luck with FFVI The Day After Part 15. I'm looking forward to it! :)

It's been a long time since I've heard from you! The reviews you gave me back in 2003 really inspired me to continue with flash. Anyway it's good that you've returned to Newgrounds, welcome back!

One of the BEST sprite-made DBZ flashes I've seen in a long time! The sprites were also fresh and new, compared to the usual SNES/Genesis style. The animation, voices (which I've noticed you got from the anime), and music were also nicely done! The overall execution was excellent! This underrated gem belongs in the DBZ section.

This looks to be another promising sprite-made series! It's nice to see a serious fan-made take on "The Legend of Zelda" (most of the others here are parodies). However, like some other reviews have stated, the music is somewhat glitchy and the dialogue also needs to be checked for spelling and grammar. Also, it goes by way too fast to the point where we hardly have enough time to read it. Finally, it was a little too short. I understand that this is the first entry to your series, but it could be a little more longer. Other than that, it looks very promising and I hope you continue this series!

Hands down THE best "Super Mario Bros. Z" episode EVER!! The sprite animations [as usual] were very well executed and the action was non-stop, edge-of-your-seat SPECTACULAR!! In addition, there was even quite a bit of humor thrown in, in the process! I can see that the storyline is FINALLY beginning to unfold! Good, memorable characters, smart dialogue, and awesome visuals make this THE #1 SERIOUS sprite movie since Randy Solem's "Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom" or Phantasmagoria_Crow's "Mario Bros." series!!! I cannot wait to see the next thrilling episode! VERY GOOD JOB!!!! :)

I've always loved the arcade game, "Double Dragon" (even more than the NES version). I even have the game for GBA, which is very close to the arcade version. Anyway, this was a very fun and entertaining sprite movie. It's also one of the first in a long time to actually have that SERIOUS tone to it (while most other sprite movies are parodies, based on their actual games). It also stays faithful to it's origins, while adding in it's own substance. In other words, the intense action moves and fight sequences were a nice addition, as was all the blood and gore. It gave more of a sense of realism. Once I clicked Play, I was immediately hooked from the beginning all the way to the very end! This is a worthwhile flash/sprite movie, especially for fans of action movies! VERY GOOD JOB, INDEED!!

Another great episode from the "Baron Saves the Mushroom Kingdom" series! The concept of Baron piloting a ship truly added to the non-stop action and suspense. Furthermore, the air battles were most impressive and the final confrontation between Baron Von Brunk and Roy Koopa was one of the GREATEST showdowns I've seen yet! Outstanding music, good dialogue, and hundreds of sprites abound make this one of the most entertaining "serious" sprite animations! It truly helped to re-define the classic oldschool Mario games and was packed with plenty of EXPLOSIVE (literally) ENTERTAINMENT!!! Without question, this serious deserves its OWN section in the Videogame category here at NG! BRAVO!

One of the BEST episodes yet! The action was spectacular (as usual), the musical score was outstanding (use of the Battle of Hoth soundtrack from "The Empire Strikes Back" was very effective), and the sprite movements and interactions were nicely done! In addition, the storyline and dialogue were well thought out and the suspense is edge-of-your-seat excitement! Overall, everything was simply excellent! VERY WELL DONE!!! :)

This had some of the best animation here at NG! The remixed techno version of "Carol of the Bells" was also very catchy! The characters were also original and fun! I liked how you made the two twin robots play the piano keys attached to their armor. That was clever! The little robot also had a nice role in this as well! Just PERFECT for the holiday season! ^_^

"THE BEST NON-SPRITE ZELDA PARODY!!!!"
This is by far THE best non-sprite Zelda parody! It even surpasses that of Legendary_Frog's work (which is also good, but not AS good). While the others have not managed to hold my interest and have been very stupid, this one was actually nicely done and original for a change. Sure, you mixed other gaming characters and worlds together, but it's still very well thought out and [at times] clever! It's very rare to see crossovers with various VG characters (aside from Super Console Wars), and this one proved to far outdo the rest! Slick n' smooth animation, great voice acting, and the excellent soundtrack(s) makes this worth watching! Additionally, the ending battle with Link VS Shadow Link was very well executed and it was nice to see a bit of seriousness mixed in with a lot of comedy! Everything was so random, but that's what made it good! I also liked the Luigi easter egg at the start menu with the Mario VS Luigi bonus movie! That was fun to watch too! Hope to see you do a second one soon! Tom and Wade would have to be idiots to not put this in the Zelda section of NG!
Author's Response:
Wow, better then Legendary Frog? Thats damn nice of you to say! I have to say, sitting around and playing Smash Brothers gave me the idea to mix all these games together into one. I'm glad you liked the voice acting, if there was one flash I had to get it right in, Im glad it was this one.
The fight between Link and Shadow/Dark Link took 2 weeks to animate, beleive it or not, even stayed up til 8:00 a.m. working on it, started losing my sanity there, heh.
And Im glad the Mario vs Luigi worked for you, it seemd to mess up every now and then for me some how.
Anyhoo, thanks for the review man, makes it worth animating to satisfy some Zelda fans!

This almost made me cry as well. I can relate to the guy in this flash too. Christmas is usually a lonely time for me as well. This is probably the best version of the "Blue Christmas" song I've heard. Additionally, the animation was very slick and smooth (different from some of the others I've seen here on NG). I also thought it was pretty funny with how you made fun of TBS ("showing the same boring movie over and over and over again) Lol! It's so true. They do that every year and it gets on my nerves! Anyway, good flash and I gave it a 9 because it pretty much explains how my holiday season is going so far. Hope to see more of these from you. Happy Holidays!
